Today a few words about the types of carbon paper:
Wax tracing papers are designed for high-quality printing on paper labels, cardboard tags and flexible film packaging. They have limited resistance to wiping and smearing, so it is the most economical solution for use in simple applications. They are excellent for general-purpose applications where there are no special requirements for print durability.
Wax-resin ribbons are used for printing paper labels and cardboard tags, printing with such ribbons provides excellent quality, high resistance to abrasion, weather conditions and some chemical products. They are also an economical solution for printing on foil labels and tags. Printing with such ribbons is more resistant to abrasion and weathering than printing with wax ribbons.
Resin ribbons provide high print quality, durability and excellent abrasion resistance, which is why they are used for printing on foil labels and plastic tags. Printing made with resin ribbon, is characterized by resistance to high temperatures and weather conditions. Printing with such a ribbon is very durable - it is more resistant to abrasion and weather conditions than wax-resin ribbon, and good label - ribbon connections will guarantee the resistance of the print to most chemical agents.
Specialty tracing papers:
Color tracing papers. Color thermal transfer ribbons. Thanks to color printing, labels will stand out from others. Ribbons are suitable for thermal transfer printers ZEBRA, Metapace, Citizen, etc. Choosing the right carbon paper allows for correct printing of one color, such as blue, red or gold, etc.
Textile ribbons. Special purpose tracing papers. The highest quality tracing papers are most often used for printing on textile materials such as nylon or satin, e.g. on clothing labels or tags. Printing made with such carbon paper is resistant to high temperatures, does not rub off and is resistant to washing.
Edge ribbons - ribbons for thermal transfer printing on printers equipped with an edge head. These are high-quality ribbons dedicated to high printing speeds as used in industrial and semi-industrial printers with an edge printhead (near egde printhead).
